The 4th edition of the Tehran Jasmine International Film Festival (TJIFF) has called for submissions.

To promote films of Islamic, national and humanitarian themes, Visual Media Institute will hold the 4th edition of TJIFF from October 30 until November 3, according to the institute website

The institute, the largest distributor of films on Iran's home video network, has the support of Cinema House, affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

It also enjoys the patronage of the northern Mazandaran Province governorate to encourage production of films "in which deep humanitarian concepts are discovered and expressed artistically."

The works submitted should exceed 75 minutes and be authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Only films produced after March 21, 2015, can participate.

The deadline for submission of applications with a copy of their films in DVD format is September 5. Applicants are also required to provide the festival secretariat with a 3-minute trailer.

Golden Jasmine, the top award of the festival will be granted to the best film producer, best director, best screenwriter, best actor and actress, and the best supporting actor.

The best in photography, editing, music, sound and dubbing, makeup, set and costume design and special effects will also be awarded. The TJIFF has five sections: Home Video, TV series, Cinema-Video, Advertisement and Promotion, as well as International Competition.
