The all-women music group Jivar will hold a concert for three nights in the western city of Sanandaj, Kordestan Province, August 4-6.
The group will perform Kurdish and Lori folk and Persian pieces, produced by Farshad Rostami and Behman Behmaram, the band leader and singer Jivar Sheikholeslam told Honaronline.
The traditional ensemble comprising Mehrzad Kheradmand, Delaram Zamani, Yasaman Najmeddin, Tina Lajevardian, Parastu Moradi, Atusa Afshari and Zahra Naderi will play instruments including qanun, tar, kamancheh, oud, daf and tonbak.
Two opera women singers will also accompany Jivar in the concert. Shahla Milani and Nasrin Nasehi are the two veteran vocalists who will sing some pieces with the band.
