Four movies from Iran are participating in the Casa Asia Film Week (CAFW) in Spain.
‘Snow on the Pines’ by Peyman Moaadi, ‘For the Sake of Pouneh’ directed by Hatef Alimardani, ‘Snow’ by Mehdi Rahmani and ‘Sun Station’ by Saman Salour are present at the 2nd edition of CAFW.
The festival, which started on November 12 in Barcelona, aims at expanding cultural ties with Asian countries by screening the best of their cinemas, MNA reported.
The genre that prevails in the second edition of CAFW is drama, but comedy, action, documentary and animation are also represented.
CAFW includes two different sections. The Official (contest) Section will show films of 2013 and 2014 with around 20 titles and the Panorama Section, which covers the rest of titles of 2012 until 2014. CAFW will grant three awards: Casa Asia Film Week Award to the Best Film; Young Jury Award, chosen by students from film schools in Barcelona; and the Public Award.
The festival will wrap up November 16.
