‘La Signora’ (The Lady), a play by Iranian theater group Moj, will go on stage in the Italian cities of Bologna and Pisa.
Written and directed by Arash Abbasi, the play will be featured in Bologna’s Cuore di Persia Festival on July 3-4, Mehr News reported.
Teatri di Vita, a cultural center for contemporary theater and dance based in Bologna has dedicated the summer festival (June 29 – July 10) to various expressions of contemporary culture in Iran, including theater, cinema, music, exhibitions and conversations. The festival is part of Be Bolognaestate 2016, a summer program coordinated and promoted by Comune di Bologna (Municipality of Bologna).
La Signora’s next appearance will be at the 18th edition of Pisa Summer Festival. The performance is scheduled on July 25. Its sole character Sanam Naderi, is a pregnant woman who should embark on a journey but hesitates to do so. Her monologues are in Italian.
