Works of foreign filmmakers and producers will be screened at the 44th Roshd International Film Festival, slated for November 14-21.
Festival secretary Saeed Badiei said films from 14 nations will be screened at the event including Germany, Spain, the U.K. Italy, Russia, France, Canada, etc, IRNA reported.
“A total of 1197 films from 40 countries were submitted to the festival secretariat. Only 209 films have been chosen for the competition section,” he noted.
The opening ceremony will be held on November 14 in Tehran’s Palestine Cinema and the films will go on screen a day later.
Roshd is Iran’s oldest film event and focuses on films with educational and pedagogical themes.
