The 2nd edition of national festival of dolls is set to be held from August 8 to 12 at the Artistic Creation Center of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).
The event will be held in several sections including exhibition and sale of local products and imported dolls, training workshops on creation of dolls and playtools, professional conferences in the field, and exhibition of local and traditional dolls, IRNA reported.
In addition, a day-long conference will be held to introduce and evaluate the best products in the previous calendar year (ended March 19),and to implement the ‘Doll Market’ scheme, a new project recommended by the IIDCYA.
The exhibition is aimed to increase parents’ general information and awareness on their children’s needs in the field of play tools and dolls. It also seeks to introduce the thinkers and designers behind unique creations as well as the producers and their products to the families.
Such events will help provide information on the status and production capacity of the quality dollsin the domestic market.
The IIDCYA offers a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the field of mental and cultural development of children and young adults. The institute has provided the platform for many of Iran’s celebrated artists and filmmakers in their respective fields of work.
