On November 7, the galleries of Iranian Artists Forum hosted the opening of four fine arts exhibitions. Among them was a group calligraphic painting exhibition titled ‘The Third Week’ which brought together several enthusiasts at Momayez gallery.

The opening saw a relatively large crowd, including several artists, art collectors, and enthusiasts, Honaronline reported.

The exhibition featured the works of several top Iranian artists such as the late Reza Mafi, Nasrollah Afjei, Mohammad Ehsai, Ali Shirazi, Sedaghat Jabbari, Einoddin Sadeghzadeh, Azra Aghighi Bakhshayeshi, Alireza Astaneh, and Babak Rashvand.

Fourteen works of different sizes, created by using various techniques, were showcased.

 Role of Art

On the sidelines of the opening, Reza Fallah, calligrapher, calligraphic painter, musician, and the director of Fallah Gallery said various works by well-known artists were presented and were received “with alacrity by viewers, which stirs up excitement among us” as well.   

On the role of art in people’s lives he said “these exemplary creations can remedy the soul. It is therefore necessary and feasible to further expand the spectrum of arts within the daily lives of people. Arts inspire fresh perceptions and feed the soul; that is precisely why all through the annals of history, governing bodies have treasured artists and acted as patrons of the arts.”    

The exhibition is on till November 14 at the forum, located on the southern side of Bagh-e-Honar, north Mousavi Street, Taleghani Avenue.
