‘The Little Boy’ in 2 Festivals

A short animation ‘The Little Boy’ directed by Mona Abdollah-Shahi will be screened at two international events.
The sixth edition of the International Film and Audiovisual Festival for Children and Youth (FICAIJ) set for May 22-27 in Venezuela and Plein la Bobine International Film Festival in France, slated for June 11 to 17, will host the Iranian film, Mehr News Agency reported
The animation tells the story of a little orphan boy who stays back alone in the city ‘for unfinished work’ while the others leave under the army’s command.
The 8-minute film has earlier been screened at the Tricky Women Festival in Austria (March 2-6), 19th Zoom International Film Festival in Poland (February 16-21), 17th edition of the European Film Festival in Italy (April 19-23) and International Antalya Film Festival (Nov. 29- Dec. 6, 2015).
‘The Little Boy’ (2015) also received the special jury prize at the 9th Asian Youth Animation and Comics Contest in the Chinese city of Guiyang last November.
Abdollah-Shahi has also made another short animation, ‘Red Line’, in 2012.
