Switzerland-based artist, Albertine Zullo, has put her latest collection of book illustrations on view at Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center.

Titled ‘Picture Books from Switzerland’, the show opened on Friday. The artist’s husband, Germano Zullo, a popular author of children’s comics and stories was present, Honaronline reported.

The exhibition also covered a day-long workshop Thursday on book illustration by the Swiss couple. Focusing on ‘Harmony of text and picture’, the workshop was attended by 17 Iranian illustrators whose works were selected during a call issued for artists interested in participating.

Albertine Zullo teaches book illustration at the School of Visual Arts in Geneva and also works for several French newspapers in Switzerland.

Among their joint publications are ‘Jumping Jack’, ‘Marta and the Bicycle’, ‘Sky High’, ‘Little Bird’, ‘Line 135’ and ‘At the Seaside’.

Co-organized by Iranian Illustrators Society, Kia literary agency, Swiss Embassy in Iran and Arasbaran Cultural Center, the show will run through May 18.
