Iranian films to be screened at the 34th Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) have been announced.
According to the public relations office of the festival, three Iranian movies will compete with 12 foreign films in the International Competition section (Cinema Salvation) and three more works from Iran will partake in the Panorama of Films from Asian and Islamic Countries section (Eastern Vista) along with 12 foreign titles.
In Cinema Salvation section, the Iranian films include ‘Arvand’ directed by Pouria Azarbaijani, ‘A House on 41st Street’ by Hamidreza Qorbani and ‘Breath’ by Narges Abyar.
‘A157’ directed by Behrouz Nouranipour, ‘My Brother Khosrow’ by Ehsan Biglaripour and ‘Rabidity’ by Amir Ahmad Ansari will be shown in the Eastern Vista section.
Furthermore, several other Iranian 2015 productions will be screened for the international guests, namely festival managers, film directors, buyers and distributers.
This year’s festival is slated for April 20-25. Charsou Cineplex, in downtown Tehran, will host the event for the first time. The acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi is secretary of the event.
