A number of cookbooks written by Samira Jannatdoust, establisher of Tehran’s Paniz Mehr Iranian Institute, were presented at the 66th international Frankfurt Book Fair.

Jannatdoust who has been introduced as Iran’s ‘Top Lady Chef’ by the World Food Organization, said “it was a privilege to attend the book fair and it provided me with a rich and invaluable experience,” MNA reported.

It paved the ground for her to meet several proclaimed publishers, she said. Her book ‘Paniz Traditional Cooking’ was unveiled on the first day of the fair and “its outcome was splendid” as her institute was invited to attend the Gourmand World Cookbook awards.

Several international publishers stopped by at her stall expressing interest “to buy the copyrights of the books,” she said.

 Well Organized

The prolific author said the book fair “was well managed and organized.”

This year the international association of fairs and exhibitions warmly cooperated with private publishers, she noted.

If other Iranian authors and publishers wish to present their books at international fairs, they should “improve the quality and content of their work.”

She said the institute would attend the Frankfurt Book Fair next year too, and also book fairs in England, France, and a number of Arab countries as well.
