Qur’an Competition for Iranian Students in Europe

Winners of the first edition of Qur’an competition for Iranian students residing in Europe were awarded in a ceremony at the Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center of Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday (March 6).

The participants competedin four categories of memorization, recitation, Qur’anic concepts and Adhan (call to prayers), said Mohammad Mehdi Momeni, in charge of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Schools in Europe and North America.

Organized by Iran’s Education Ministry and the Islamic Center of Hamburg, the final stage of the competition was held on March 4 and 5 at the center and was well received by Iraniansliving in Europe, IQNA reported.

A total of 60 students from 15 countries including Germany, Cyprus, France, Albania, Greece, Austria, Serbia and the UK took part in the event.
