Iranian publishers will attend the 32nd Tunis International Book Fair from March 25 to April 3.

The exhibition will present books from 198 publishers and authors, and will be attended by businesses, publishers, suppliers, paper manufacturers and the general public, the festival website said as reported by Mehr News Agency.

The main objective of the book fair is to promote life-long learning, intellectual development and self-improvement as major factors of social integration, with the motto “Peace with Book.”

Aadil Khizer, director of the event, said “Books and the reading culture should be revived” in this digital age. This will help people get familiar with the histories and cultures of other nations.”

He expected that the book fair in the North African nation would be attended by over 21 countries, including Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Palestine, Qatar, England, France, Italy China and Iran.

The best in each section, such as children’s literature, research and translation, and the book of art, will be awarded. France is the guest of honor at this year’s edition.

An international conference on ‘culture vs. terrorism’ and workshops on literary movements, theater, poem, narration, story and literary criticism will be held on the sidelines.
