The first exhibition of ‘mini-sculptures’, a follow up project after ‘mini-tableaus’ and ‘mini-photos’, is underway at Aria Gallery in Tehran.

Co-organized with the Association of Iranian Sculptors, the exhibition presents over 60 items by 30 artists, selected from among the huge number of works submitted by 150 participants, Honaronline reported.

Aria Eqbal, director of the gallery said she was surprised at the enthusiastic welcome and positive feedback of the visitors who bought a large number of sculptures on the opening day.

Different materials from recycled stuff, papier-mâché (a composite material consisting of paper pieces or pulp, sometimes reinforced with textiles) and wood to 3D printed and bronze has been used for the works.

Skilled and veteran artists Parviz Tanavoli, Bahman Mohasses, Reza Yahyaei, Reza Khayatan, Merila Shoqi, Mehraban Meysami, Mehdi Abolhassan, Nasrin Vesalian, Sogol Movahhedpour, Armin Pourfahimi, Shamim Yousefi and Parisa Taqipour are among sculptors, whose works are on sale.

The exhibition will run through March 4 at the gallery, located at No. 10, Zarrin St., Vali-e Asr Avenue.
