The first secretary of the Bulgarian embassy in Iran Jivko Kantchev announced his country’s readiness to hold a cultural week at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran.

In a meeting with Majid Sarsangi, the forum director, Kantchev also invited Iranian artists to hold a cultural week in Bulgaria, IRNA reported.

“In the short period that I’ve been here, I am witnessing extensive efforts by the forum artists, and I hope we will be able to cooperate with each other in the field of culture and art,” Kantchev said.

During the last two years, the forum has held joint events with South Korea, India, Turkey, Afghanistan, Japan, Finland, Venezuela, Austria and Germany.

International cultural events have a significant role in introducing “the true image of Iran and its rich civilization to the rest of the world, and cultural activities both within and outside have been able to clear misconceptions about Iran,” Sarsangi noted.
