Illustrators to Attend Bologna Book Fair

The first prize in the second edition of the Book Illustration Festival went to ‘An Ordinary Day in Cafe’ written by Payam Ebrahimi and illustrated by Fatemeh Khosravian. ‘Mr.Mole is Not In’, written by Mahsa Lazegi and illustrated by Hamideh Khosravian won the second place, according to the Public Relations Office of the Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI).

The winners of the two prizes, including the authors and illustrators who were awarded at the festival closing ceremony (Feb. 14), will take part in the 53rd edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2016 in Italy slated for April 4 to 7.

‘Elmi-Farhangi’ publishing house with the collaboration of the ICFI will sponsor the winners, IRNA reported.

Two books ‘3, 2, 1 Chi Lik’, by Samira Qayoumi and ‘The Story of a Tale’ by Zeinab Hosseini shared the 3rd prize.

The award ceremony held at the publishing house premises was attended by its CEO Massoud Kosari, Amir Massoud Shahram-Nia, chief manager of ICFI, and the jury committee, including Hoda Haddadi, Kianoush Gharibpour, Mitra Abdollahi, Ali-Asghar Seyyedabadi and Ali Bouzari.
