Reza Ahadi 1962-2016

Former Iranian soccer player Reza Ahadi passed away in Tehran on Monday, January 18, due to liver failure.
Ahadi, 53, played for Iranian club Esteghlal FC for most of his career and was a popular footballer in the 1980s, Varzesh3.com reported.
In 1990, he won the Iranian Football League title with Esteghlal.
He was among the few Iranians who appeared in a foreign club in the 1980s. Invited by the German club Rot-Weiss Essen, he spent two years, 1986-1987, in Germany.
Ahadi was a member of the Iran national football team from 1982–1984. Till recently, as a coach, he managed six local clubs.
