On his visit to Isfahan, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Janos Latorcai announced that “Budapest is willing to host the Isfahan Cultural Week.”

Latorcai is heading a trade delegation to Iran, MNA reported.

Emphasizing on improving the current level of bilateral ties, Isfahan Governor Rasoul Zargarpour said Iran and Hungary have had 90 years of diplomatic relations and added, “Isfahan has held its cultural and tourism weeks in several countries and we will welcome holding such events in Hungary as well.”

Responding positively to the proposal, Latorcai said Budapest would welcome hosting Isfahan Cultural Week, and added, “Isfahan equals Hungary in terms of land area; it is one of the most beautiful cities of Iran, and given its excellent capacity in tourism, trade, student exchange, and short-term training programs, we welcome relations with the city.”

Latorcai also pointed to Hungarian tourists’ interest in the city, and said “Budapest would cooperate in the joint Chamber of Commerce to host Isfahan Cultural Week.”
