Iranian music band ‘Setare Qotbi’ (literally North Star) will perform a charity concert at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on January 13.
The event especially for women, will present English, French, Indian, Iranian folklore, Kurdish, Lurish and Turkish repertoire by four vocalists in support of children suffering from special diseases, Mehr News agency reports.
Iranian TV and cinema star, Leila Bolookat, founder of ‘Mehr-e Leila’ charity, will attend the concert.
Bolookat described her presence at the event as a part of her charity programs, which also includes a monthly dinner event with ailing children and popular artists.
Iranian film artists and athletes frequently organize and participate in charity events, including football matches, bazaars and auctions and allocate the proceeds to the needy people.
