A one-day performance by Naser Cheshmazar, acclaimed musician, composer and orchestra conductor last October received a warm welcome by music lovers.
However, numerous enthusiasts were unable to attend that event as the tickets were all sold out. Cheshmazar is taking the stage once more on January 8, for a replay of his successful concert ‘Rain of Love’ at Tehran’s iconic Milad Tower, Mehr News Agency reported.
A few pieces from the album ‘Rain of Love’ and more soundtracks from the film ‘Long Lost Sisters’ (1995) by Kiumars Pourahmad, ‘Invasion’ (1985), ‘I Want to Be Alive’ (1995) by the late Iraj Qaderi, ‘The Poisonous Mushroom’ (2002) by the late Rasoul Mollaqolipour and the TV series ‘The Adventures of Majid’ (1990) by Kiumars Pourahmad will be performed in collaboration with Namira choir conducted by Farhad Harati.
Cheshmazar, 63, has composed over 20 films including ‘Hamoun’ by Dariush Mehrjui, ‘Candle in the Wind’ (1990) by Pouran Derakhshandeh (2003) and ‘Superstar’ by Tahmineh Milani (2009).
He has released 10 albums and cooperated with famous pop singers Hami, Mohammad Esfahani, Qasem Afshar and Mohammadreza Eyvazi in their albums. He won the Crystal Simorgh award at Fajr International Film Festival twice for composing the music for ‘Poisonous Mushroom’ in 2002 and ‘Devil’s Eye’ in 1993.
