The play ‘I Can’t Imagine Tomorrow’ will be staged at the 8th edition of the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFK) in India.

A production of ‘Bohemi’ group, the play by Tennessee Williams, an American playwright and author of several stage classics, is directed by Fariborz Karimi. The show is screen-based and the stage setting is experimental. The music, acoustics and design comply with international festival standards, Mehr News Agency quoted Karimi as saying.

Earlier the play was staged at the ETS Student Competition Festival in the Netherlands in June (2015) and at the 15th Iranian International Festival of University Theatre (2012).

Duo Mohammad Berahmani and Ava Darvish are the only two characters in the play. Sara Bigdeli and Nima Aqyani are music composers and Pante’a Armanfar is the video art designer.

Bohemi, founded in 2011, has staged several plays namely ‘About Safe and Unsafe Recreations’ and ‘Rabbit Hole’ at university theatre festivals and the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

The International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFK) was launched in 2008. It is one of the major Indian theatre festivals organized by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, an autonomous body for promotion of theatre, music and allied performing arts.

The festival will be held from January 10 to 16, 2016.
