Head of the National Library of Turkey, Zulfi Toman, who arrived in Iran on Wednesday, is visiting cultural centers and libraries across the country.

Toman will visit ‘The Written Heritage Research Center’ of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and Malek National Museum and Library, said Amin Arefnia, chief manager of public relations and international affairs office of the National Library, quoted by Mehr News Agency.

Toman is scheduled to attend a conference hosted by Book City Institute.

The Turkish official will also be a guest of the Qom governorate and head of Al-Mustafa International University. Toman will visit the Mar’ashi Najafi Library and meet its founder, Ayatollah Shahabuddin Muhammad Hussein Marashi Najafi, a prominent Islamic scholar in the holy city.

He has plans to visit the holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad and the prestigious Astan-e-Quds-e Razavi Library and Museum. Astan-e-Quds-e-Razavi is the administrative organization which manages the Imam Reza shrine and all its affiliated institutions.

The National Library of Turkey has one of the richest book collections in that country. It was established in Cankaya district of Ankara in 1946. Toman is in charge of the library since 2012.
