Persian Art in Indonesia

Through the efforts of the Iranian Cultural Attaché in Indonesia, the 2-day Iran Artistic Cultural Festival was organized in Jakarta.

The opening ceremony in the capital was attended by a number of cultural personalities and the public, MNA reported.
Getting the people of Indonesia to know Persian art and culture was among the goals of the program.
On the Iranian artworks exhibited, Ambassador Mahmoud Farazandeh said, “today a part of Persian works are shown here, so that Indonesians enjoy them. It can also further deepen understanding and friendship between the two Muslim countries.”
Other than the movie screening and music performance, a collection of paintings and miniatures were also displayed. Persian carpets and rugs, Iranian handicrafts, and Qur’ans in exquisite publications were also exhibited.
The visitors warmly welcomed the exhibition and clicked away at the displayed works.
