Some people love books, while others get put to sleep by them. Book and Bed Tokyo, a bookstore-themed hotel located on the seventh floor of a high-rise in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro neighborhood which opened its doors last week is perfect for both.

Designed by Makoto Tanijiri and Ai Yoshida of Suppose Design Office, it promises to be the best place to curl up with a good book and fall asleep, Borepanda.com reported.

The ‘Compact’ compartment measures 205x85 centimeters, and the ‘Standard’ is 205x129 cm; the price per evening can be $32 to $50, depending on the size of accommodation.

Currently there are 1,700 English and Japanese language books available, but the hotel plans to eventually expand its library to 3,000.

An accommodation bookshop, it offers an experience while reading a book. An experience shared by everyone at least once, the blissful “instant of falling asleep”.

With books as the central theme, the organizers have sought to create a hostel offering the greatest “moment of sleep”.
