The Persian translation of ‘Mary Poppins’ written by Pierre Travers will be unveiled by Parian Publishers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its film production, Farzad Farbod, translator and head of the publishing house told Mehr news agency.

Mary Poppins is a famous book written for children. The story was made into a musical film based on the first four books in the series by Walt Disney Productions in 1964.

Mary Poppins is the main character of the book, a magical nanny who sweeps into a home and takes charge of the children. She flies in on an umbrella, and departs when the children have learnt enough lessons, promising to return whenever they need her. The unveiling ceremony will be held on October 22 between 5-7pm at Dastan book store, Qoba Square, next to the Media Cultural Center, Tehran.
