J.J. Abrams-directed film’s trailer premiered during Monday Night Football was viewed more than 112 million times online in 24 hours.

Combined with the 16 million viewers that tuned in to watch the trailer, that is a total of 128 million views for ‘The Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer, said a post from Lucasfilm on StarWars.com on Friday.

The advance ticket sales, which kicked off after the trailer, broke numerous records, including the biggest-ever 24 hours for advance sales in numerous countries. Several ticket sales sites crashed under the high demand. In the UK, more than 450,000 tickets were sold on the first day.

“Movie theaters are continually adding new show times on Fandango, online ticket seller, to meet the phenomenal demand. The enthusiasm for this year’s most anticipated movie is out of this world and we expect it to continue all the way to its debut on December 18,” said a statement from the website.

Presales for the Disney and Lucasfilm project broke every IMAX record as well, generating more than $6.5 million in domestic ticket sales from moviegoers purchasing tickets to see the film which will open on approximately 390 IMAX screens in North America. By comparison, Imax has never previously registered more than $1 million in pre-sales on a single day.

This marks a new record for the most views of a trailer in 24 hours. Of course, Star Wars is breaking its own record, set by the second teaser it released this past April.

The first teaser, which premiered on November 28, 2014, hit 55 million views in its first 24 hours and 110 million in the first 12 days. The second trailer, which debuted in April 2015 at Star Wars Celebration, got 88 million views in the first 24 hours and 145 million in the first week.

The film stars Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong’o and Adam Driver alongside returning cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.
