An Iranian 3D animated TV series ‘The Last Messenger’, which deals with the life story of the Prophet of Islam, was awarded the best 3D animation at the 9th Al-Ghadeer International Festival held in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq on October 7.
Directed by Kianoush Dalvand and produced by Dariush Dalvand, the series has 26 episodes, each 22 minutes, Mehr News Agency reported.
The story begins with the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in 570 AD and chronicles his life till his demise. It has been dubbed in Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish and Urdu.
Dalvand brothers have produced several short and long animations including the feature 3D epic ‘Battle of the Kings: Rostam & Sohrab’ which was screened in the US, Russia, and the UAE.
It is based on a story from the Shahnameh, the epic masterpiece of the Persian poet Ferdowsi, which narrates the tragic tale of two legendary Persian heroes, Rostam and his son Sohrab.
An occasion to show TV and radio productions of Islamic countries, the festival, organized by The Islamic Radios and Televisions Union, was held October 5-7.
