Russia was selected as the guest of honor for the 29th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) 2016, at the second meeting of the Policymaking Council on Wednesday.
The 2016 edition will open on May 5 and run for 10 days until May 15, council spokesman Ali-Akbar Asha’ri said, Mehr News Agency reported.
Iran was the guest of honor at the 28th Moscow International Book Fair, September 2-6.
In a MoU signed between the two countries in 2006, each side has a free stall in the international book fair of the other country.
