Iranian female solo vocalist Simin Ghanem will perform live at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall from October 15 -17.
Performed exclusively for female audiences, the concert will present several of her memorable songs from previous decades with the renditions based on poetry from Hafez, Saadi and Malek-o-Shoara Bahar, Honaronline reported.
The memorable songs include pieces like ‘Gole Goldun’ (Home Flower), ‘Bird’, ‘Saz and Naghare’, ‘Divine Secrets’, ‘Fair Faced’ and ‘ Spring in Here’.
Simin was born in 1944 in the northern town of Tonekabon in Mazandaran Province. Her first performance was in 1968 with the song ‘’Tumultuous Wave’ but her career kicked off officially in 1969 at the age of 25.
‘The Moneybox of Your Eyes’ was her first hit composed by Fariborz Lachini with lyrics written by Saeed Dabiri. But her signature song is ‘Gole Goldun’ which is one of the greatest hits by a female vocalist to this day. She made her first reappearance after the Islamic Revolution in 1999 at a concert in Sahra Cinema, Tehran.
