The Arghanoon (literally, Organon) Theatre Hall will host a play ‘In a Flash’ directed by Mohammad Ziksari, on its opening day on September 6.

The play is inspired by Ziksari’s childhood memories in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988). The story unravels in a family home. While watching a TV series they are hit by a missile. Events are narrated by the boy, now grownup, but his thoughts frequently go back to the time of the war, Mehr News Agency reports.

“His mind is haunted by the past, and in the present time, he is nostalgic,” Ziksari said.

The director has tried to portray his character in the story, reviving the memories of the imposed war, “which are shared by many people.”

“Events of the 1980s are depicted realistically, while the narration is abstract and in a fictional atmosphere as seen in the dialogues and behavior of the characters.”

Ebrahim Azizi, Mehrdad Mostafavi, Rana Ghaderi, Maryam Salemi, Soroush Shaker, Shervin Aghili and Sajjad Tabesh are in the cast.

The show will be launched in the presence of Giti Khameneh, actor in children and young adults TV programs in the 1980s.
