The first edition of ‘Muhammad International Film Festival’ to be held in Tehran in December, has called for submissions.
The festival aims to promote human, personal and social aspects of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life, and will focus on his lifestyle of compassion, humbleness, simplicity, abstinence, relationship with God, prayer, easing the suffering of orphans and the poor, preserving and protecting the environment, observing animal rights, as well as fighting racism.
Entries by filmmakers from across the globe will be accepted, Mehr News Agency reported.
The top prize is a cash award of $20,000 and the second and third, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.
The deadline for submissions is September 22.
