A group painting exhibition ‘Faces’ curated by Raha Sharafi, is underway at 24 Art Gallery in Tehran.
A total of 12 items, the collection includes 5 expressive, 3 abstract, one triptych and a unique surreal artwork on the subject of ‘social abnormalities’, Honaronline reports.
The works are by young, but skilled artists, and have been “critically reviewed by acclaimed art masters,” Sharafi said.
“There are so many young artists who can create promising works of art and an artistic renaissance in Iran. They need support, not only financially but also spiritually,” she noted.
Illustrations of different styles on the theme are portrayed with acrylic and oil paintings by Atefeh Mohammadpour, Soleyman Mohammadi and Atieh Mirghazanfar.
Sharafi has a couple of years experience as a curator but has gathered young, talented artists, who do not get the opportunity to display their works in solo exhibitions, to provide them a platform to display their skills.
‘Faces’ will run through September 3.
