Having displayed the newest products and technologies in the field of sports, the Sportex 2014 wrapped up its work on Saturday.

Similar to the other days, the last day of the exhibition opened at 10 am and being the first day of the week, the number of visitors gradually increased as the first hours passed.

The grand hall (Shabestan) in Imam Khomeini Mosalla ground, Tehran was host to a total of 115 local and international companies active in different branches of sports. Manufacturers of equipment for individual and team sports such as martial arts, fitness, basketball, football, floorball, etc., and producers of dietary supplements presented their latest products to the public.

 30 Foreign Firms

More than 30 foreign companies who are represented in Iran, showcased their advancements in sport equipment. China, Taiwan, Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada and the US were among the participants.

This year, local manufacturers came up with several new quality products. Fitness equipment like treadmills and stationary bicycles, dumbbells, artificial turf, ping pong and foosball tables, foam flooring, motorcycles and bicycles, sport shoes and clothes, etc. were also on display.

During the 4-day event, a number of artists, athletes and officials visited the exhibition. On the final day officials including deputies of the ministry of sport and youth and deputy commander of the ground forces of the army Amir Heidari were among the guests.

The 13th international exhibition of sport and sport equipment was held from October 8 -11.
