‘My’ Exhibition at Laleh Art Gallery

The fourth edition of ‘My’ group exhibition displaying works by 11 artists is underway at Laleh Art Gallery in Tehran.
Exhibition coordinator Javid Ramezani said 35 photo art and paintings by visual artists Hamed Hakimi, Negin Firoozi, Zeinab Saghafi, Maryam Asadi and Behrad Sharifi, on the theme ‘roots’, were selected for display, Honaronline reported.
“Roots are the reason why people survive from social distress” and are able to preserve their personal identity and values, he said.
“What causes people to maintain their identity and defend their values in tough situations, is the essence of the show.”
The exhibition has thrice been held earlier to create awareness on visual arts.
In an introduction to the artworks, Ramezani wrote: “Roots symbolize the concept of identity and show self-esteem.”
The paintings portray the internal challenge in the inquisitive minds of artists and the collection creates a meaningful series of stories, interpretations and beliefs.
The exhibition will run through August 6.
