The best of toy designers and manufacturers will be felicitated at the First National Toy Festival, which commences on August 3.
The event includes five sections including competition, said the International Affairs Center of the Institute of Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), the festival organizers, Mehr News Agency reported.
Secretary of the Toy Supervisory Council, Mohammad Hossein Farjoo, said the two-part festival will comprise ‘designers’ and includes registered designs, and ‘manufacturers’ active from 2013 to 2014. The best will be selected by a nine-member jury and honored.
Over 362 registered designs and 126 toy samples produced will compete in five separate groups including ‘motor skills’, ‘training’, ‘challenging’, ‘artistic’ and ‘electronic’, Farjoo said.
The best of each group and importers of educational and innovative toys will be awarded plaques of appreciation.
The festival will have an exhibition of toys, scientific seminars, training workshops and other programs at the Cultural Creation Center of Tehran. The event will run through August 7.
