11 Iranian Teens Win Prizes in Slovenia Art Contest

A 13-year-old girl from Gorgan won the first prize at the World of Art Slovenia-2014 contest and 10 other Iranian boys and girls won the plaque of honor at the international event in Ljubljana.

The 19th World of Art Slovenia competition sponsored by a magazine of the same name is an international event where Iranian teens and young adults do well every year, reports IRNA.

Kowsar Kiaie from Gorgan in Golestan Province won the top prize.

The theme was on ‘Traditional Costumes and Various Tribes Dances in My Country’ and the winners were announced on Monday.

Asef Hivehchi, 9, from Gonbad, Golestan, Mahsa Dehqan, 11, from Semirom, Isfahan Province, Mina Abdollahyar, 12 from Kerman and Sajedeh Ranjbar, 12, from Safashar, Fars Province received diplomas of honor.

Iran’s Children and Young Adults Center had nominated 564 drawings for the contest.
