Two national TV series were sent to Turkey to be aired during the holy month of Ramadan, according to the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) General Office for International Affairs.

The two series ‘She Was an Angel’ and ‘Could Happen to You Too’ are to be screened on Turkish national television’s Channel 7, Fararu website reported. Directed by the renowned Alireza Afkhami, ‘She Was an Angel’ was aired in Iran during Ramadan in the year 2005 on Channel 2.

The series pioneered the “paranormal-spiritual” genre in Iranian television. Set in the fasting month of Ramadan, the story revolves around the life of a man who meets a woman in a car accident who later turns out to be the devil trying to seduce and alter his life and relationship with his family.

‘Could Happen to You Too’, directed by Mahmoud Moazzami is currently showing on IRIB Channel 5. Each episode narrates a distinct event that could engulf any ordinary person. The show has gained mass popularity in Iran for its human-interest themes.
