Reza Fahimi’s ‘Cloudy Children,’ a short film, won two awards at Japan International Film Festival, thus becoming a candidate for the 2016 Oscar Academy Award.

The Japanese festival was the film’s first international presentation where it won the best Asian short film award and the festival’s grand prize, IRNA reported.

The film is produced by the Rafsanjan Young Cinema Association and film critics in Tokyo believe it has high chances in the Academy Award.

Japan International Film Festival is one of the top five festivals of its kind in the world and is considered a threshold for introduction of short films to the Oscar.
