Poet Sepanlou Passes Away

The celebrated Iranian poet, translator and literary critic Mohammad-Ali Sepanlou passed away on Monday (May 11) in Tehran at the age of 75.

Sepanlou, who was suffering from lung cancer in recent years, was hospitalized for respiratory ailment, and passed away due to cardiac arrest, ISNA reported.

Born in 1940 in Tehran, he wrote several poetry collections and translated works of famous authors like Albert Camus, Jean Paul Sartre, and Graham Greene.
