Iran’s only female representative at the 1st Asian Youth Athletics Championships has succeeded in recording an Iranian best for the bronze medal in hammer throw.
Amineh Kashiri, Iranian athlete in the hammer throw game won Iran’s first medal at the championships held in Doha, Qatar, MNA reported.
Kashiri managed to register a personal best of 48.25m and win the bronze medal. She also managed to better Iran’s record by 66cm.
Her previous record was registered at 47.59m. She is the only female athlete from Iran participating in the competition which, currently underway in Doha, will continue until Monday.
