Kaveh Abedin’s debut rap album finally got its official release permit from the ministry of culture and Islamic guidance after ten years.

“The album produced in 2005 was issued a permit for lyrics and music then but was banned from being published in the last moment,” ISNA quoted the artist as saying.

Abedin has put a lot of effort in publishing his album since he “never intended to release it illegally.”

Rap is a genre of modern music that consists of spoken or chanted rhyming lyrics. The components of rapping include content, flow (rhythm and rhyme), and delivery. Rapping is distinct from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat.

“My work is quite different from other available works. There is usually no trace of harmony in rap pieces, but this album has a revised edition of the genre,” Abedin said about his work.

Titled ‘Oblivion’, the album is a mix of rap and pop music and the lyrics are written by Rouzbeh Bemani. Field artists including Mehdi Fahimi, Sirous Gerami, Makan Ashkvari, Amir Saremi, and Pouya Ehsayi contributed to creating and producing the album.
