The call for the International Conference of Allama Iqbal Lahori which will be held in Tehran in June has been issued in three sections, including: ‘Iqbal and Religious Thinking’, ‘Iqbal and Literature’ and ‘Iqbal and Philosophy’.
The Art Center of Islamic Propagation Organization, ECO Cultural Institute, and the Art Center of the Islamic Republic, will hold a ceremony in honor of Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori to recognize the opinions and ideas of this great figure, IBNA reported.
Professors, poets and literary experts are invited to attend by submitting essays and poems on the mentioned topics.
Muhammad Iqbal (1877–1938), widely known as Allama Iqbal, was a South Asian academic, poet, barrister, philosopher, and politician who is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary works in both Urdu and Persian languages. Iqbal is admired as a prominent classical poet in Iran, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and also by international scholars of literature.
The conference will be held on June 14, 15 and 16.
