Prominent figures of culture and literature will honor a group of selected Rumi scholars in Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University on the Commemoration Day of Mawlana on September 30.
Dr. Movahed, a great Rumi scholar will be honored at the event.
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati, deputy minister of Commerce and Chairman of the National Carpet Center Dr. Sattari, cultural attaché of the French Embassy Dr. Moradi, vice president Dr. Soltanifar, Maestro Shahram Nazeri, and other high-ranking literary personalities will attend the function.
Mawlana, better known in English-speaking countries as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. His Mathnawi remains one of the purest literary glories of the Persian language.
