Visual Artworks on ‘Prophet of Kindness’

On the sidelines of the 7th Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts and following the campaign of ‘Prophet of Kindness’ initiated by Iranian visual artists, an exhibition displaying works on the same issue was inaugurated at the Iranian Artists’ Forum on Sunday (Feb. 8).
Works of young and veteran artists in different art fields of illustration, sculpture, painting, and Persian painting are on display, Honaronline reported.
In addition to the exhibition, artists in different areas within visual arts have set up a website, kindnessprophet.com to honor the Holy Prophet of Islam and other divine prophets. It also promotes kindness to others and rejects violence and extremism.
Explaining about the website, festival secretary Mojtaba Aghaei said all people, whether artists or not, can join the website which provides everyone with an opportunity to defend their religious beliefs through art.
Having opened on February 3 at Saba Cultural and Artistic Institute in Tehran, the visual arts festival, exhibiting works from 9 fields including poster design, illustration, calligraphy, ceramic art, photography, cartoon, sculpture, painting, and Persian painting, is open to the public till March 3.
