Iranian director Mehdi Rahmani’s ‘Snow’ will be screened at the 16th International Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) in India.

‘Snow’ has been an entry in a number of international events. It is a contemporary domestic drama rooted in the fragility of modern life influenced by economics and appearances, IRNA reported.

The movie centers on the travails of the Vaziri family. Once affluent, the Vaziris now find themselves poor and bankrupt. Their only daughter plans to marry and a suitor is soon found. Problems arise for the daughter when she finds that she must introduce her suitor to her family.

Earlier last month, ‘Snow’ was screened in the Focus on World Cinema section of the Montreal World Film Festival. It had also taken part in Shanghai and Moscow Fetes previously.

MFF is an International film festival held in Mumbai each year. Organized by the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI), the festival previews new films of all genres from around the world with a range of Competitions and Showcase categories. The prestigious festival is scheduled to be held from October 14-21.
