Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture is scheduled to host a series of forums for introducing the capacities of the franchise industry in expanding private sector businesses, says the head of TCCIM’s Business Affairs Department.
“Plans are to hold specialized forums for franchise in the food, cosmetics and toiletries, and apparel industries on June 20, July 12 and August 21 respectively,” Houman Hajipour was also quoted as saying by the TCCIM news portal.
The official noted that a franchise plays a significant role in business and it is important to introduce its capacities to the Iranian business environment.
Members of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, industrialists, economic players and all those interested in taking part in the events can register at the TCCIM website.
According to Investopedia, a franchise is a type of license that grants access to its proprietary business knowledge, processes and trademarks, allowing the franchisee to sell a product or service under the franchisor's business name. In exchange, the franchisee usually pays the franchisor an initial startup fee and the annual licensing fee.
According to the International Franchise Association’s latest report, franchising had an exceptional year in 2021, and 2022 looks to be another strong year of recovery.
McDonald's is the world's largest franchise network with an incredible $89 billion in global sales. Despite increasing competition, it has held on to this spot every year since the rankings were first released in 2000.
