Several Iranian mobile games have been shortlisted for the 15th International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA Global) and are competing for IMGA’s Public Choice Award.
The five works developed by Iranian game studios nominated for the prize along with 148 products from other countries are “The Dark Wings 2”, “Harmony”, “Magnis”, “Flipping Filip”, and “O”.
Via an online poll users will decide which game wins IMGA’s Public Choice Award, igmaawards.com reported.
Enthusiasts can vote for their favorite mobile game on imgawards.com/winners-nominees/15th-imga, until March 5.
IMGA Global is one of the leading annual mobile games competitions in the world. It brings together the best mobile games developed in different countries to test their clout and win prizes.
Parallel to the public vote, the IMGA jury, consisting of experts from all over the world, select the winners of other awards, including the Grand Prix Award. Winners will be announced on March 19 in San Francisco.
Nominees of the global event are the award-winning games in regional competitions held earlier.
At IMGA Middle East/North Africa Edition (MENA) held in Jordan last October, Flipping Filip, a 2D adventure game bagged six awards.
Besides Flipping Filip, 11 other Iranian finalists won awards then, including Fisher Boy, Electron, Harmony, Mr. Crow Don’t Open the Envelope, 41148, Irregular Mobile, Colimus, Sweet Lemon, The Dark Wings 2, King of Wealth, and Magnis; however, only five finalists made it to the global contest.
Since its launch in 2004, IMGA has been supported and endorsed by tech industry leaders including Supercell, Tencent, ARM, and many others.
