Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 1,217.88 points or 0.66% on Wednesday to end trading at 181,994.3.
About 1.91 billion shares valued at $40.68 million changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Iran Merinos Co. was the biggest winner as its shares went up 24.83% to 8,199 rials per share.
Navard va Ghataat Co. incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 10,650 rials per share.
Isfahan Oil Refining Co. contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pars Petrocemical Co., and Tehran Oil Refining Co.
Omid Investment Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, and Khorasan Steel Co.
The Price Index gained 354.61 points to close at 53,003.3. First Market Index was down 953.31 points to post 135,249.7.
Second Market Index decreased by 2,153.55 points to reach 356,863.5. Industry Index went down by 971.12 points to register 165,582.9.
The Free Float Index was down 1,459.19 points to hit 194,143.08.
The TSE 30 went down 69.49 point to settle at 9,161 and the TSE 50 ended 55.16 points lower to finish at 8,030.7.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 36.59 points or 1.84% to close Wednesday trade at 1,957.16.
About 521.48 million securities valued at $26.14 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares as 35.01 million of its shares were traded.
Zagros Petrochemical Co. registered highest trade value as $889,516 worth of its shares changed hands.
Ghaed Bassir Petrochemical Products Co., Shirvan Sugar Company, and Mihan Insurance registered the highest value increase.
Esfahan Steel Co., Lavan Oil Refining Co., and Zagros Petrochemical Co. suffered the biggest decline.
Zagros Petrochemical Co, Esfahan Steel Co., and Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
