In the latest attack against an Iranian diplomatic mission, members of an anarchist group attacked the embassy in Athens on Monday morning.
Members of the Rouvikonas group attacked the mission's building with bottles of paint, according to the Greek Reporter.
The anarchist group issued a statement online and said they carried out the action “in solidarity with Iranian Kurds”. They also published footage from the action, showing that they first removed the guard from the post before breaking the windows, ANF News reported.
The assailants disappeared after the attack and no arrests have been made.
Iran has often denied allegations of discrimination against ethnic or religious minorities. However, it has said that it will lawless elements will face justice regardless of their religion or ethnicity.
Early this month Iran executed three Kurdish men convicted of taking part in attacks against civilians and security forces in the Kurdish region in western Iran.

Iranian diplomatic missions have been the target of attacks in recent weeks by sympathizers of separatist and militant groups with varying motives.
Iran’s Embassy in Paris was attacked by Kurdish activities on Friday after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps fired missiles at the headquarters of a banned group in Iraq’s Kurdistan region.
The strike was a response to deadly attacks on Iranian security forces in Iran's Kurdistan Province.
Last week, police in Helsinki, Finland, arrested several demonstrators who had seized an Iranian flag from the Iranian Embassy premises and set it on fire during a protest gathering.
Earlier this month, angry protesters stormed and set fire to the Iranian consulate in Basra in southern Iraq and condemned Tehran's alleged interference in their internal affairs. Iran denies meddling in other countries' domestic affairs.
