Accord Signed in Favor of Travel Startups

Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization signed an agreement with the Labor Ministry on Monday in a move to offer support for tourism startups. The document was inked by Mohammad Moheb-Khodaei, deputy tourism at ICHHTO, and Isa Mansouri, deputy labor minister, CHTN reported. During the ceremony, Moheb-Khodaei expressed hope that the agreement will be a means to further improve plans and models for tourism development and help tap the hidden potential in the sector. "The next step after the initial agreement is to devise a detailed action plan so as to make way for the promotion of new ideas in the field," he said. The official emphasized that tourism authorities should support innovative ideas and encourage and guide the growing movement toward a flourishing industry. From another perspective, Mansouri highlighted the huge capacity of tourism in creating job opportunities and said "cyberspace is a productive platform in which innovations can morph into large businesses." "We should absorb more young talents and give them support to start a business," Mansouri added.
